My Top 5 Korean Drama (2016)

Assalamualaikum

few more days untuk masuk tahun 2017. i have to admit that all korean drama yang ditayangkan tahun ni semuanya memang kebabomm πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘Š hahaha

this is just my opinion okay, lain orang lain citarasa.

5. Romantic Doctor,Teacher Kim

Image result for romantic doctor teacher kim poster

for me,this is not just an ordinary medical drama and this drama is way better than Doctors (yang ada park shin hye) . i skip a few of her drama sebab bila masuk pertengahan episod je dah boring. Romantic doctor, teacher kim ni memang best. Tak banyak sangat scene romance, maybe mula-mula tu ada lah tapi bila masuk episod 3/4 je dah rasa macam wow best jugak eh hahaha sebab banyak scene yang touching, sampai terkeluar air mata hahaha. sekarang tengah tunggu beberapa episod lagi untuk habis.

muka dia memang sebiji macam muka exo sehun hahahaha πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’“

4. Oh My Geum Bi

kalau nak tengok drama ni kena sediakan tissue dulu. budak tu memang pandai berlakon, asal tengok muka dia je rasa nak nangis hahaha . respect lah jugak dengan watak dia dalam drama ni,sebab umur dia baru 8 tahun tapi sikap dia dah nampak macam orang matang. tsk tsk aku umur 19 tahun baru matang hahahaha pff

A drama about a father who takes care of an eight year old girl who has child Alzheimer’s. A catastrophic illness can break people apart or bring them closer together. Yoo Geum Bi is a spirited 8-year-old girl who suffers from Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC), a rare genetic condition that makes her body unable to properly metabolize cholesterol and other lipids. The condition is often referred to as “childhood Alzheimer’s” because of the rapid mental and physical deterioration that accompanies it. Geum Bi’s father, Mo Hwi Chul (Oh Ji Ho), is a single father who works as a clumsy swindler while trying to take care of Geum Bi. Geum Bi’s stern mother, Yoo Joo Young (Oh Yoon Ah), is estranged from Hwi Chul and disapproves of everything he does. Go Kang Hee (Park Jin Hee) is an arborist who likes to spend her time alone or on the search for stolen cultural artifacts. When Kang Hee meets Hwi Chul, she finds herself drawn into his life with Geum Bi. Can Geum Bi teach Kang Hee to mend her fractured heart?

I've already made a review about this drama so i'm not going to review it again hahaha
but for me,i'm quite disappointed with the ending, not that much but just a little bit. actually aku ingatkan ending dia choi yoo jin tu akan hidup tapi rupanya tak, tapi at least lah dia mati bersama dengan husband dia so i'm okay with that hahaha

and i'm not going to talk about ji chang wook again, sampai esok pun tak habis aku rasa haha 😍

2. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

i really really recommend you to watch this, now! haha this drama is soooooo funny. i laugh really hard everytime suara "what" tu keluar hahaha if you have watched this then you know what i'm saying haha lol. oh ya this is a romantic comedy drama.

and yes both of them are so cuteeeee! tiba2 teringin pulak nak boyfriend macam Joon Hyung 😧 *forever alone* he is so cute and handsome.

and one thing yang aku perasan dalam drama ni,asrama diorang sangat-sangat lah memukau, especially bilik diorang. ada eh asrama yang macam ni? haha

This drama is inspired by the life of South Korean Olympic weightlifter gold-medalist Jang Mi Ran and it’s about college athletes who fighting for their dreams and finding love. Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) is a student in Hanwool College of Physical Education. She has shown strength like no other since she was a child as influenced by her former weightlifter father. She looks thoughtless at a first glance, but inside she’s as fragile as glass and has deep recognition. Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk) is Kim Bok Joo’s best friend. He is a born swimmer but ever since he was disqualified from his first international event, he suffers from ‘start trauma’. Along with Kim Bok Joo, he overcomes his troubles and finds his dream and love. Song Shi Ho (Kyung Soo Jin) is a rhythm gymnast who also attends Hanwool College of Physical Education. She started gymnastics since she was 5 and won the Asian Games at the age of 18. She’s always been the best since then but mental pressure caused her to break up with Jung Joon Hyung and regret it.

lastly,my favorite drama of the year! I'm sorry but i cannot move on dengan drama ni although ending dia macam #$!&*%# . from the first episode lagi aku dah jatuh cinta dengan drama ni. i just love everything about this drama (except the ending of course). IU ada bagi hint kot kat instagram dia pasal ending drama ni,aku ingatkan ada episode tambahan rupanya tak ada pfff
but for me lah, kalau rating drama ni bagus aku rasa memang ending dia pun akan bagus jugak, tapi yelah diorang bukannya kisah pun dengan international rating, diorang just tengok korean rating je ah and china of course.

The Unstoppable K-Dramas Popularity is Proven!

Assalamualaikum

Picture from here

Decades ago, we were very familiar with the bulk amounts of movies from China. Of course, Hollywood is still the king and it rocks! But, we cannot avoid our excitement in watching various China movies, especially the ones with such high budgets.

We have recalled the success of “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” in which we must have watched for its sequel "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II: The Green Destiny," released in February 2016. The first sequel was a huge success and grabbed more than forty awards, while grossing more than USD 200 million worldwide. The uncountable Chinese movies since the early 70s have been the best entertainment sources for movie-goers.

But, lately, we have seen the significant growth of Korean drama during the past decade. Yes, dramas from South Korea. Not movies. Well, there were good South Korean movies, which have been awarded for their excellent cinematography and story plots. Korean movies also got special awards at Cannes Film Festivals several times.

Not A Quick-Scheme Popularity

It wasn’t until the beginning of the millennium when some Korean dramas got lots of appreciation from non-Korean spoken countries. South Korean has made thousands of dramas for decades, but the popularity of K drama began when “Jewel In The Palace” was becoming the major attention among countries in Europe, Canada, United States, and mostly Asia.

picture from here

People worldwide were astonished with the twisting plot of this true-story based drama. It was in 2003, the year when other Korean dramas started getting a huge attention and massive appreciation until now.

On the other hand, K-dramas related to K-pops that turns out to be the fashion trend setter among teens and young people worldwide. We can easily notice the K-pop stars play as the main roles in K-dramas, because they can easily reach more viewers and gain higher ratings, as well as more income from advertising.

This is definitely a huge success, not only for Korean dramas producers, but also South Korean business owners who can promote their products like shoes, outfits, cellular phones, and other kinds of luxury stuff like furniture.

Addicted

It is easier to see people, who are strongly addicted to K-dramas and it applies worldwide. South Korean television channels are easy to access and they contribute to high ratings for some Korean dramas with interesting story plots, and charming actors or actresses.

Of course, there are also people who underestimate K-dramas, as they consider that they only contain monotonous love-story themes. Well, their opinions are somewhat true, because love themes are still the most favorite ones, especially among teens.

But, K-dramas producers understand that television viewers need more than just clichΓ© stories about a twisted love relationship between a truly rich man and a very poor woman with the very noble heart. This classic theme still has its own fans, though these days, viewers abroad are more interested in certain themes like thriller, action, and horror.

It is somewhat interesting to see some stories that many Americans share about how they got attracted to Korean movies and dramas, at the first time. You might have been in a circumstance when you don’t like to watch a television program, but you are curious about it.

The same thing applies to those, who didn’t like Korean dramas, nor movies. They tried to watch the one, which has become a hot topic on social media websites and reached high ratings. Then, after watching for about ten or twenty minutes, they continued watching the whole episode, and waited for the next episode! hahaha this is totally me when i first discover about k dramas πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

We can imagine how Korean dramas turn to be very phenomenal. As most of them are non Koreans, they admitted that they love watching Korean dramas as they can easily learn the Korean language, know better about Korean culture and customs, while taking a glimpse at the mouthwatering Korean foods which are rich in variety.

But, don’t forget that the K-pop also contributes to the popularity of K-dramas. Remember “Gangnam Style”, by Psy? As this song hit so many radio stations and television channels worldwide, as well as YouTube and other social media networks, there was an increasing interest of Korean pop music, ever since. As it was mentioned above, K-pop music relates a lot with K-dramas and movies, because most boy band or girl band members are also popular as the main role.

So, don’t be shy to admit that you are one of Korean dramas fans! There are millions of people, out there throughout the universe, who share similar interests with you!
